Living in Summit
Summit has a bustling downtown area that is home to many locally-owned businesses. There are boutiques and restaurants aplenty. If you're planning a night out on the town, don't hop on the train to the city (all though, it is a very easy commute), head downtown to Springfield Avenue and dine at the casual Committed Pig or the upscale Roots steakhouse. Or perhaps you pride yourself on being trendy, in that case, the Summit House is for you.
Summit is home to many parks and recreation spots, too. Head over to Briant Park for a peaceful stroll or test your endurance with a hike at the Watchung Reservation.
Summit offers five public elementary schools, along with one middle school and one High School. This link will provide you with more details on the Summit public school system.
